Durban - KwaZulu NatalSales and Business Development Manager - Durban KZNRemuneration : Basic salary plus commissionAbout this roleOur company is looking to appoint aSales Manager based in Durban to build on existing service implementations and developexpanded opportunities for continuing sales growth in new communities/cities in SA. This isa progressive opportunity for a dynamic self- starter (ideally with commercial WASHproject/services experience) who is keen to make large scale social impact by working withgovernment stakeholders, partners and communities to develop a central role for the company in the off-grid toilet sector in SA. It is also a career development opportunity, with thesuccessful candidate in the running for expanded responsibilities in other emerging markets,subject to success in SA.Key OutcomesDeliver on sales growth targets within the 3 designated business units in SAContinue to develop the current WRC funded HOME project in DurbanActively seek out further and expandable B2C territoriesB2B commercial partnerships that provide high quality Revenue deliveryB2G - create effective partnerships with local/central government institutions,utilities and private sector actors that result in strong support for the company.To drive a data driven strategic sales/commercial plan for the company in SAKey ResponsibilitiesContinue to develop customer relationships and Sales pipelines within existing projectsDevelop an effective sales Team to deliver on the Financial Model goalsContinually evaluate Sales performance Target and take appropriate actionsDevelop B2B partnerships with local stakeholders across value chain (from regulatorsto service providers)Engage with stakeholders to gain a sound understanding of B2C service modelDevelop strategies for securing new business opportunities and routes to market inthe informal sanitation sector (Non Sewered)Support market development including access to finance for EM customersDrive stakeholder engagement, including customer and donor engagement, throughbriefings, meetings & seminars, accompanied by structured follow up.Develop effective senior level relationships with appropriate government agencies,utilities and private sector companiesSupport key customers and stakeholders with project fundraising and grantmanagementMaintenance of accurate, current CRM database and associated strategiesSupport the Companys commercial operations team on project implementationAttend and present at key global WASH conferences and continue to engage withcontact networkSkills Experience:8+ yrs ecosystem sales (of products that include service models)Sales Team Management - PLOCRelevant sector experience (in emerging markets, sanitation sector, or similar e.g.,energy, water, financial inclusion, etc)Success in submitting proposals for funding and/or partnershipsContract development & negotiation for B2B/B2G sectorHigh level of presentation skillsFinancial acumen ability to assess business and service modelsAppropriate university degree (science or business based)Personal characteristics:Purpose drivenPassionateSense of urgencyReliable with high degree of integrityAn engaging communicatorSelf-starter but a team playerSocial conscience; motivated by improving the lives of disadvantaged communitiesShould you be interested in applying for this position, and you meet the minimum requirements, then we invite you to APPLY below.Note :Correspondence will be limited to short-listed candidates.
