Main Purpose of RoleThe main purpose of the Scrum Master role is to facilitate Agile methodologies, ensure the Scrum framework is followed, and drive continuous improvement within the team. The Scrum Master will act as a coach, guiding the team to enhance collaboration, productivity, and efficiency. This role is crucial for removing impediments and ensuring that the team can deliver high-quality products and services.Required Minimum Education / TrainingA university degree (3-year) in a related field.Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent).Required Minimum Work ExperienceAt least 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master.Experience in the FinTech or payments industry is beneficial.Experience with HR/Payroll/Time and Attendance industry is beneficial.Technical and Behavioural Competencies RequiredTechnicalProficiency in Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).Understanding of software development lifecycle and processes.BehaviouralStrong leadership and coaching skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to resolve conflicts and facilitate discussions.High level of adaptability and problem-solving skills.Key Performance AreasFacilitate Scrum ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives).Ensure the Scrum framework is adhered to and promote Agile best practices.Identify and remove impediments to ensure the team can deliver effectively.Support and coach team members in Agile methodologies.Collaborate with product owners to ensure a clear understanding of the product backlog.Monitor team performance and support continuous improvement efforts.
