RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a skilled Sea Freight Controller to join our client's team in Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced logistics professional to oversee and coordinate sea freight shipments, ensuring smooth operations and timely deliveries. If you have a strong background in freight forwarding and a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you!Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate sea freight shipments from booking to final delivery
• Handle all relevant documentation, including bills of lading, customs clearance, and shipping instructions
• Communicate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and clients to ensure smooth operations
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively address any delays or issues
• Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and company policies
• Maintain accurate records and update internal systems with shipment details
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimize freight processes and enhance customer service

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (tertiary qualification in logistics or supply chain is advantageous)
• Proven experience as a Sea Freight Controller or in a similar logistics role
• Strong understanding of international shipping regulations and documentation
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in freight management systems and MS Office
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
