Our client in the Hospitality industry is currently looking for a Security Manager, in Cape Town, Western Cape.Responsibilities:
Security Operations Management: Lead and manage the hotels security team, ensuring 24/7 coverage and vigilance over all areas of the property.
Guest Safety: Ensure the safety of high-profile guests and VIPs, maintaining discretion and professionalism at all times.
Risk Assessment: Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement improvements.
Incident Response: Develop and oversee emergency procedures, responding swiftly to incidents such as theft, fire, or medical emergencies.
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and develop the security team to handle the unique security needs of a luxury hotel environment.
Access Control: Manage security systems, including CCTV, electronic access control, and surveillance of hotel facilities.
Collaboration with Local Authorities: Maintain relationships with local law enforcement and emergency services to ensure quick and coordinated responses when necessary.
Security Compliance: Ensure the hotel complies with local and international safety regulations, implementing best practices for guest and staff safety.
Special Event Security: Plan and execute security measures for high-profile events, weddings, conferences, and celebrity guest stays.
Crisis Management: Lead the hotels crisis management team in case of critical incidents, ensuring the safety of all involved.
Requirements:
5 - 7 years of experience in a security management role within a 5-star hotel or exclusive resort is mandatory.
Leadership Skills: Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage teams in a high-pressure environment.
Crisis Management Expertise: Extensive experience in handling emergencies and high-stakes situations with a calm and clear approach.
Knowledge of Security Systems: Expertise in modern security technologies, including surveillance, access control, and alarm systems.
Discretion & Professionalism: Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism, particularly when dealing with VIPs and high-profile guests.
Regulatory Knowledge: Thorough understanding of hotel safety and security regulations, including fire safety, health, and safety protocols.
Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with guests, hotel management, and external authorities.
Certification in security management or a related field.
Experience with high-level security planning for events and VIP protection.
