Job Description
Job Summary QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE xc2xa7Minimum 10 years'' experience in managing security on a mine at senior management level xc2xa7Comprehensive understanding of security function gained through formal education and completed with practical experience as security official or member of SAPS xc2xa7Experience in conducting forensic investigations, recognising criminal incident behaviour, suspect profiling etc. xc2xa7Building relationships across a range of stakeholders internally and externally xc2xa7SAPS firearm competency advantageous xc2xa7Computer literate, valid drivers license ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES xc2xa7Ensure that all security risks have been identified, treated and mitigated to an acceptable level for the whole mine. xc2xa7Ensure compliance to all legal standards and leading practices xc2xa7Conduct ongoing assessments of security procedures and practices to enable effective mitigation of potential losses xc2xa7Ensure effective deployment, management and utilization of security systems and technology to minimize risk xc2xa7Develop internal and external networks and contacts for information gathering xc2xa7Investigate all on-site crime related incidents xc2xa7Ensure security of product on trucks leaving the mine xc2xa7Provide people leadership within departments and contractors xc2xa7Apply knowledge of relevant security related legislation/policies/procedures
