Our client based in Northern Kwa-Zulu Natal is currently seeking an experienced Security Manager to be based in Umfolozi, KZNPosition: Security ManagerLocation: Umfolozi, Kwa-Zulu NatalIndustry: Crop Farming and AgricultureMinimum Qualification Criteria:

• Matric
• 15 20 years of Security Experience
• SAPS or Military experience would be highly advantageous
• Own Vehicle

General Summary:The Security Manager will be responsible for coordinating and managing improved security operational services for the region,
including:Internal Functions:

• Managing the 24-7 control room - monitoring of security cameras and alarms
• Managing 24-7 security vehicle patrols and response activation
• Managing approved operational budget on a monthly and annual basis
• Attending security incident investigation, reporting, and tracking
• Collating security intelligence.

External Functions:

• Representing the company at the regional community policing forums and extended regional security cluster liaison (SAPS, SANDF)
• Co-ordinating regional disaster management events and/or unrest events.

Main Roles and Duties:Daily

• Ensure the security offices are properly maintained.
• Oversee control room controllers, train and develop.
• Ensure all security systems/screens are fully functioning:

• Radio
• Snpr
• Amadlozi
• Vehicle tracking
• Control
• Alarms
• Liaise and coordinate with the security service provider task team operations, Romeo response vehicles tracking and guarding posts.

Weekly

• Compile incident reports.
• Liaise with SAPS Mtubatuba and Kwambonambi, conduct follow up's on SAPS case numbers
• Plan security task team operations, roadblocks, farm visits, foot patrols, ambushes, cattle & dog issues, etc
• Check and verify security infrastructure is in operational condition (Security equipment and Security vehicles)
• Ensure security service provider guarding staff rotation.
• Ensure radio checks are conducted
• Liaise with security committee when necessary
• Communicate security news to all members (via WhatsApp groups)

Monthly

• Compile monthly reports and co-ordinate committee meetings
• Engage in Community Policing forums in the area of interest

Annually

• Update PSiRA documentation.
• Review member register and member information update as necessary
• Undertake system audits engage external service providers

Adhoc

• Liaise with community members
• Explore and recommend appropriate improved technology and systems update/upgrades, develop area intelligence (maps, active zones, stand-off points)
• Review and update company procedures
• Ensure all security services provider new staff are properly qualified and the relevant documentation is up to date.
• Keep company member WhatsApp groups updated with all relevant security related information.
