This includes continuously improving security measures in alignment with advancements in the security sector and the unique needs of the farming and rural environment.Key Responsibilities:

• Professionalise the current security team, raising the level of security discipline to manage the risks of crime and losses through inhouse and outsourced security team of supervisors and security guards

• Both active and passive security systems and infrastructure for the safeguarding of company property, workers, and visitors

• Guide and oversee the security guards and the security supervisors to reach the security management system objectives of the company.

• Implement an integrated risk management and crime prevention system through liaison with local and national crime prevention apparatus.

• Develop and manage a professional security service to safeguard people and property

• Ensure compliance with legal security guidelines and public safety measures

• Oversee security operations, risk assessments, and incident response

• Manage crowd control, protest situations, and workplace security

• Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and systems

• Collaborate with internal teams and external security providers

• Financial management and cost-effectiveness in security operations

• Utilize ERP systems (D365, SAP, Sage) for security-related reporting

• Ensure continuous improvement in security measures and operations

RequirementsEducation:

• Matric Certificate

• Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Security Management or a related field

• Valid Grade A PSIRA registration

• Professional Certifications in security or management

Experience:

• 5 or more years in security management role

• Experience with crowd control and protest management

• Knowledge of national security and policing legislation

• Understanding of workplace safety and security issues

• Experience in CCTV control room management systems

• Tactical operation background

• Exposure to risk management and risk control measures

• Familiarity with various operational management systems (ISO45001, Global Gap, SIZA, BRC,etc.)

• Financial acumen
