Job Description


A Leading Global Provider dealing with advanced analytics and technology solutions in the Pharmaceutical industry is seeking a Senior Account Executive: Consulting Services for the Pharmaceutical BusinessJob Purpose:

  • Cultivates long-term, profitable partnerships with C-suite executives of major clients by building and nurturing relationships with multiple stakeholders within each account.
  • Utilizes company solutions to deliver value, uncover new business opportunities, and drive revenue growth.
Requirements:
  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Preferred qualifications are bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in business, marketing, or a related field, an MBA will be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience and a successful track record as a senior professional sales representative with management
experience in South Africaxe2x80x99s private Pharma, MedTech, or Consumer Health industries. Skills and Abilities:
  • Strategic thinking: Strong strategic planning and analytical skills
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal persuasive communication and interpersonal skills
  • Public Speaking: The ability to present high-level content to c-suite executives
  • Networking: Strong networking abilities to build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and industry influencers.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Sales & Negotiation: Effective negotiation and problem-solving abilities
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and business environments.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Executive presence and C-suite Communication: Demonstrated ability to engage comfortably with and build relationships with C- suite executives.
  • Financial Acumen Strong understanding of financial concepts, including financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting
Key Job Functions:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities: Proactively reach out to and prospect for new C-suite level contacts across the Pharma, MedTech, and Consumer Health industries in South Africa.
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans: Create and execute strategic sales & business development plans to achieve company goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners: Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities: Gather data from various sources such as industry reports, market surveys, competitor analysis, and customer feedback to define & understand the current market landscape.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored consulting solutions: Conduct thorough assessments of client needs and challenges by engaging with internal subject matter experts. This helps in understanding the specific requirements and pain points of each client.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to potential clients: Craft and present persuasive value-proposition presentations and proposals to both potential and existing clients, highlighting the unique benefits and solutions tailored to their specific needs.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
  • Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate contracts, contribute to setting of proposals and close deals to maximize profits while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • C-suite Engagement: Effectively engage and converse with C-suite executives (e.g., CEOs, CFOs, CTOs) to understand their strategic goals and align sales strategies accordingly.
  • Financial Acumen: Demonstrate strong financial acumen, including understanding financial statements, budgeting, and financial forecasting to provide value-driven solutions.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of products and services.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with industry trends, sales techniques, and best practices.
