A leading producer based in South Africa is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join us in driving the financial success of their operations.They specialise in the production, marketing, and export of high-quality products, with an emphasis on sustainability and innovation. • Oversee day-to-day accounting functions for various company and trust accounts.
• Conduct detailed analysis and reporting of production costs.
• Monitor operational expenses to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with operations to develop cost control measures, including inventory and procurement management.
• Track and reconcile financial transactions related to operational costs.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
• Support budgeting and forecasting efforts tied to operational expenses.
• Provide management with timely and accurate financial reports.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes, especially in agriculture and FMCG sectors.

Job Experience & Skills Required:Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• BCom

Experience:

• Completed SAICA / SAIPA Articles (Non-negotiable)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Business Central is a plus).
• A passion for agriculture and/or FMCG, with a desire to immerse in industry specifics.
• Knowledge of South African tax regulations and agricultural accounting is advantageous

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
