Job & Company Description:
As a Financial Accountant at this dynamic and multi-faceted organization, youll be responsible for overseeing the full financial function across different business entities. This role offers exposure to a mix of NPO and for-profit operations, requiring a hands-on approach to both financial reporting and strategic support. Youll be working closely with senior stakeholders, bringing assertiveness, confidence, and the ability to operate autonomously with little hand-holding.
Other duties include:

• Preparing and maintaining financial statements for both NPO and for-profit entities.
• Developing and monitoring annual budgets in line with organizational goals.
• Managing grants and funds for NPOs, ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
• Overseeing accounts payable/receivable and managing revenue and expenses.
• Ensuring tax compliance and handling payroll across multiple business entities.
• Preparing for audits and maintaining robust internal financial controls.

Education:

• BCom degree.
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles (SAIPA or CIMA accreditation advantageous).

Job Experience & Skills required:

• 3-5 years post-articles experience.
• Strong financial reporting and tax compliance experience.
• Assertive and confident, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
• Independent worker, requiring minimal supervision.
• Exposure to working with multi-entity reporting and diverse business models is beneficial.
