Job Summary Main job function Provide accurate reporting, oversee day to day work of the finance department and be responsible for the effective use and deployment of staff and financial resources. Produce and distribute accurate monthly management reports to agreed time scales Produce detailed quarterly cash flow forecasts to form the basis for the working capital request Produce financial reports detailing actual expenditure against forecast to agreed timescales Produce required financial reports for members of the team and Board of Directors Produce annual financial reports and statements to agree time scales to comply with the statutory requirements of legal framework. Develop annual budgets in collaboration with the Director of Finance and Operations and functional heads Review payroll system and Provident Fund Scheme and ensure that payments are made to individuals, SARS, Provident Fund and Medical Aid Providers to set timetables. Lead on tax planning, including VAT related matters. Maintain current standing with all mandated local tax and benefits registrations and requirements, including submissions of payments and reports (SARS, ) Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements relating to financial control, financial management and accounting Ensure appropriate external audit arrangements are in place and manage the audit process Ensure that all balance sheet reconciliations are produced on an accurate and timely basis to include bank reconciliations, debtors, creditors and inter-company account Ensure implementation and adherence to finance policies, procedures and systems across all teams Manage working capital requirements Accountable for budget, forecasts and to secure good cost management within own responsibility area. Effective Management of staff by: Ensure that staff members are motivated by providing leadership & direction. Conduct performance reviews with staff twice a year. Undertake personal development/career action plans for incumbents reporting to you. In consultation with national HR implement training initiatives where required to support on the job training and guidance. Undertake Disciplinary and Grievance hearings when necessary. Ensure adherence to Company policies and procedures. Compliance with BSO reporting(US GAAP) and Statutory reporting (IFRS) Compliance with the Code of Ethics Compliance with the Chart of Authority Qualifications B comm Honors, CA would be advantageous Criteria 5 to 10 years experience in finance sector with at least 3 years in a financial management role.
