Senior Application Developer (experienced)
JohannesburgKey Responsibilities:
- Collaborate within a project team, reporting to our IT Manager.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure solutions align with strategic enterprise architecture.
- Define and manage non-functional requirements, ensuring adherence to project objectives.
- Organize and estimate development tasks accurately.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure high-quality software design and implementation.
- Provide support during functional requirements definition, ensuring technical feasibility.
- Identify and address technical project risks and issues, driving resolution activities.
- Actively contribute to application improvements and mentor junior team members.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on key technologies or skills.
- Degree, Diploma, or Certification in Computer Science or related technical field.
- Minimum 8 years of development experience.
- Proficiency in the full software development lifecycle.
- Experience in an agile environment, preferably with Scrum/KANBAN.
- Strong background in C#, .NET 6, .Net Core, SQL Server, Blazer, HTML5, and CSS.
- Demonstrated experience in developing web solutions and utilizing RESTful web services.
- Ability to develop unit tests for code components.
- Familiarity with DevOps automation is advantageous.
- Previous experience in the Insurance Industry is beneficial.
