Job Description


The Department of Infrastructure, Western Cape Government has opportunities for competent individuals to assist in design and execute the architects conceptual designs.
Minimum RequirementsBachelor of Technology in Architecture (B.Tech) or relevant qualification as recognised by The South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP); A minimum of three years experience as a Senior Architectural Technologist; Compulsory registration with SACAP as a Senior Architectural Technologist; A valid code B (or higher) driving license.

Key Performance AreasProvide technological advisory services: Support Architects and associates in site surveying, preparing measured drawings of existing buildings, collecting of practical information relating to the proposed project and prepare presentation drawings
and models of the design; Perform administrative and related functions: Compile and submit monthly and quarterly reports; Research and development: Keep up with new technologies and procedures.

RemunerationGrade A: R 429 930- R 462 084 per annum; Grade B: R 486 543 - R 522 741 per annum; Grade C: R 556 080 - R 654 252 per annum (OSD as prescribed). Note on remuneration: Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations (OSD) are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations including basic salary, 13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc. Where remuneration is not indicated as CTE, employees' service benefits or obligations are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
