Must be a Chartered Accountant (South Africa);
Completed BCom or BCompt Accounting degree;
Completed CTA / Honours degree;
Completed SAICA Articles;
Minimum 2 years' experience as an Audit Manager;
Big 4 audit firm experience will be an added advantage;
Experience in audits of Funds and Collective Investments Schemes;
Experience in Mining, real estate/property, pharmaceutical, and health industry will be an added advantage;
Listed entities/component audit experience;
Group audits experience;
Public sector, Private Sector and JSE listed experience; and
Valid driver's license.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the audit process from planning, execution to reporting;
Prepare and execute audit plan;
Prepare and present audit reports, including reporting at Audit Committee meetings;
Plan and manage other audit team members;
Manage a team of audit managers;
Oversees and manage audit budget;
Train, coach, develop and appraise audit team;
Manage compliance towards firm policies and processes within external audit; and
Key client liaison on behalf of the firm.
Client responsibilities:
Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage the Audit process with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues and accounting technical matters;
Demonstrate the ability to lead and manage fieldwork on client's sites including liaising with other Motlanalo departments to ensure the smooth delivery of the Audit process;
Demonstrate an application and solution-based approach to problem solving, referred to for research on delivery of solutions in that field on client assignments;
Demonstrate expertise in primary accounting frameworks (IFRS) and in related financial reporting matters;
Demonstrate expertise in using Draftworx to perform assurance engagements in compliance with auditing standards; and
Identify areas requiring improvement in the client's business processes and possible recommendations and prepare and deliver Management Letter to be provided to the client.
Business and Financial:
Manage portfolio of clients; and
Ensure compliance towards Firm policies and processes within area of responsibility.
People responsibilities:
Contribute to effective team work in internal engagement situations; and
Provide on-the-job training for developing auditing skills and familiarity with the firm's audit methodology.
