Responsibilities and Duties Installation, maintenance and support of all Audio-Visual hardware and software
Capture and maintain all IT assets in the ICT inventory database and dispatch the IT equipment to the user as per writen request
Install and maintain all Audio-Visual hardware
Install and maintain Audio Visual software
Install and maintain all Audio-Visual peripherals
Liaise with external providers for hardware support
Setup ad-hoc equipment for events and classes
Audio Visual equipment fault diagnosis
Identify common problem areas experienced to recommend corrective action
Decide whether to send the Audio-Visual equipment to the manufacturer for repair
Report shortfall in parts inventory to line manager
Work with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with audiovisual equipment and software)
Ensure audiovisual equipment interconnects seamlessly with diverse systems, including associated validation systems, file servers, email servers, computer conferencing systems, application servers, and administrative systems
Computer Lab/Office demonstrations
Provide user support for the initial training on equipment and software.
Assist users in the use of computer so????ware if requested.
ICT liaison
Document instances of hardware failure, repair, install, and removal
Forward faulty Audio-Visual equipment to the workshop
Communicate project statuses to the helpdesk.
Coordinate and liaise with the rest of the ICT Team
User Educa????on
Ensuring that user systems are able to communicate to AV systems and that users are adequately trained in the use thereof.
Develop how-to documents, videos on the use of Audio-Visual equipment and software tools.
Monitoring, evaluating, and reporting
Relevant operational reports as and when required.
Research and implement best practices.
Communicate and consult with relevant stakeholders.
