SUMMARY:
Senior Back End Java Developer - Midrand / Semi-Remote - R650 Per hourPOSITION INFO:Are you good in developing and maintaining a critical internal API services application used in the vehicle pricing and calculation processes? • Degree in IT or relevant experience
• Qualification/Certification in backend development technologies.
• 8 years Development Experience
• Agile working experience (Mandatory
• Java 8, 11, 17+ ;AWS
• RESTful services, Git, JEE 5 + , CI / CD
• Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter
• Knowledge of design patterns
• OOP (Object Oriented Programming and Design)
• API Development, Calling and creating REST services, RESTful APIs
• Quarkus (highly advantageous)
• AWS and / or other cloud services and Serverless development technologies (highly advantageous) ; Terraform
• OpenAPI / Swagger; DynamoDB
• Git / GitHub Enterprise ; GitHub actions
• Code quality with Sonar ; Nexus , JSON, OAUTH

What you be doing:

• Propose and review system designs and evaluate alternatives
• Review and present proposals / system solutions to IT Project Lead, DevOps Team, QA Team, and Product Owner / Business team
• Develop systems solutions in line with IT Security standards and other compliance topics, quality standards and delivery requirements
• Develop code that is readable, extendable, re-usable, scalable, and optimized for performance
• Ensure that all implementations can be passed over to other developers, mid development, with minimum of handover
• Ensure compliance & adherence to standards for audit adherence and quality assurance

Reference Number for this position is GZ60022 which is a contract position based in Midrand / Centurion / Semi-Remote offering a contract rate of R650 Per hour negotiable on experience and ability.
