Senior Biostatistician / Senior Data Scientist (Cape Town) (LC_694) Management ~ Scientific (Management)ESSENTIALSMSc/PhD in (Bio)Statistics OR Data Science, 10+ years working experience in this field, managing a team. Experience designing & executing study designs and doing statistical analyses for observational & experimental studies. Experience in causal inference from observational data (AKA real-world evidence from real-world data / RWE from RWD) is highly preferred.Location: Cape Town-based, hybrid roleSalary: Based on experienceDETAILSOur client is a niche consulting company offering specialised services in the form of data science, biostatistics analyses and interpretation to help large organizations keep track of, improve and protect the health and safety of their employees. In turn they strive to help organizational leaders make informed decisions impacting on their organizations return on investment, improving their employees health outcomes and operational efficiencies.The role involves leading the team in the design of studies and statistical analyses, to form part of the study protocol, supporting the development and fulfilment of project proposals, presenting results to clients, and managing the writing process of technical reports, case studies and scientific papers. Included in this position is the coaching, mentorship, and performance management of the team of data scientists.REQUIREMENTS

• MSc/PhD in (Bio)Statistics OR Data Science
• 10+ years working experience in relevant field, preferably in in epidemiology, public

health and/or other domains in health sciences

• Designed & executed study designs & statistical analyses for observational and experimental studies
• Experience in causal inference from observational data (aka RWE from RWD) preferred
• Proven experience managing a team of data scientists
• Excellent communication, teamwork & interpersonal skills
• Ability to professionally present proposals and results to clients in English
• Ability to reside or relocate and live in Cape Town (Relocation allowance available) allowance available
