Senior Bridge Design Engineer
Job Description
A large consulting company with offices across South Africa is looking for a Senior Bridge Design Engineer to join their growing team in Johannesburg.
Minimum requirements:
xc2xb7 BSc (Civil Engineering), or BTech (Civil/Structural Engineering)
xc2xb7 Pr Eng or Pr Tech (ECSA) registration
xc2xb7 Registered Bridge Inspector will be an advantage
xc2xb7 8 years plus experience in Bridge Design
xc2xb7 Detailed knowledge of Finite Element Design Software such as Sofistik/Prokon/AutoCAD/Revit.
xc2xb7 Preparation of Contract Documentation, specifications and schedules of quantities
xc2xb7 Knowledge of SANRAL processes will be an advantage
xc2xb7 Experience in bridge hydrology and hydraulics will be an advantage
xc2xb7 Experience in design of feature bridges will be an advantage
Your responsibilities will include:
xc2xb7 Design of bridges and associated road structural elements.
xc2xb7 Able to work unsupervised with efficient time management
xc2xb7 Able to lead a design team and work under pressure
xc2xb7 Manage the design process of projects.
xc2xb7 Ensure that project budgets are adhered to.
xc2xb7 Assist in preparation of proposals.
xc2xb7 Technical Report writing.
xc2xb7 Feasibility studies as required by Project Managers
xc2xb7 Entrepreneurial with high business acumen
