Job SummarySenior Bridge Engineer (POS24275)RosebankR1,5m per annumPurpose:
- Design of bridges and associated transport related structural elements.
- BSc (Civil Engineering), or BTech (Civil/Structural Engineering)
- Pr Eng or Pr Tech (ECSA) registration
- Registered Bridge Inspector will be an advantage
- 8 years plus experience in Bridge Design
- Detailed knowledge of Finite Element Design Software such as Sofistik/Prokon/AutoCAD/Revit.
- Preparation of Contract Documentation, specifications and schedules of quantities
- Knowledge of SANRAL processes will be an advantage
- Experience in bridge hydrology and hydraulics will be an advantage
- Experience in design of feature bridges will be an advantage
- Design of bridges and associated road structural elements.
- Able to work unsupervised with efficient time management
- Able to lead a design team and work under pressure
- Manage the design process of projects.
- Ensure that project budgets are adhered to.
- Assist in preparation of proposals.
- Technical Report writing.
- Feasibility studies as required by Project Managers
- Entrepreneurial with high business acumen
