Job Description
Job Summary Qualifications required:
- Relevant degree (BA, BCom, BEng, etc)
- Minimum of 5 years experience driving business development
- Proven successful track record in the independent power producer industry - non negotiable
- Experience with negotiation on PPA (power purchase agreements) - non negotiable
- Report to Business Development Executive
- Manage relationships with the private and public sector, build government and regulatory body relationships, at municipal, provincial and national level
- Represent the company at industry events
- Work alongside finance teams to for project and corporate financing
- Negotiate PPA contracts and support process from onboarding until project delivery phase
- Manage the internal stakeholders from project initiation to commercial approval
- Maintain key business relationships in diverse markets
- Stay up to date with change in industry legislation and adapt accordingly
- Secure multi-million Rand renewable energy projects
- Achieve annual sales plans
- Inspire, lead, develop and manage a sales team
- Compile competitor analysis and strategies to stay ahead of trends.
