Job Description
The role of the SENIOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (BDM) is to generate and drive revenue through consultative and solution driven selling in the packaging industry.
- Reporting to the CEO, and responsible for the business development and revenue of 3 key divisions the BDM will be involved in developing the value proposition for a diverse set of customers in the Retail, Agricultural and Automotive industry.
- Leveraging market knowledge and insights from multiple industries, the BDM will inform the company's marketing strategies.
- The BDM will consult with customers and feedback to internal teams to improve and develop the company's product offerings.
- With the objective of driving revenue the BDM will thoroughly map the market and action a business development plan to grow the company's customer base throughout South Africa.
- Taking a hands-on approach to developing customer relationships the BDM will meet with clients (travel) throughout South Africa including Western Cape, Gauteng and Limpopo provinces.
- BCom Marketing (or similar)
- At least 8-10 years experience in a Product Development/ Business Development/ Sales role.
- Multiple industries experience (experience with customers in multiple industries)
- Experienced in the principles of consultative selling
- Willing to travel throughout South Africa
