Senior Buyer Job | Joburg | Well known Retail BrandWell-known International Retail Brand is seeking experienced Apparel and Footwear SENIOR BUYER to join their team in Joburg. The buyers will be responsible to plan and effect buying strategies as he or she develops, sustain and monitor supplier listings across the brands nationally. Ensuring that all buying falls within the parameters set by the company policies, procedures and code of conduct. The Buyers will be based at Head Office but will be required to travel from time to time.Working very closely with the merchandisers, the buyers will be required to ensure the right products are selected to bring into the stores. xe2x80x93 Finding the right suppliers
xe2x80x93 Negotiating prices
xe2x80x93 Ensuring the products are delivered on time
xe2x80x93 Interpret reports and predicting future sales
xe2x80x93 Pitching ideas to senior management
xe2x80x93 Stock control
xe2x80x93 Budgeting
xe2x80x93 Reacting to any changes in customer demand
xe2x80x93 Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers while seeking new ones
xe2x80x93 Getting feedback from customersSkills and Experience required:xe2x80x93 Must have a Diploma or Degree in Mathematics or Accounting
xe2x80x93 Minimum of 5 years' retail fashion experience in Buying, specifically in Footwear or Apparel fields
xe2x80x93 Must be able to work under pressure and handle stress
xe2x80x93 Essential to have excellent Communication and Human Relations skills
xe2x80x93 Must LOVE retail and fashion!
xe2x80x93 Be Proactive and Quick Thinker
xe2x80x93 Must have excellent computer skills
xe2x80x93 Analytical thinker (Flair for figures)
xe2x80x93 Stock control, Merchandising and Floor Control
xe2x80x93 Product and supplier knowledge
xe2x80x93 Be a team player and peoples person
xe2x80x93 To adapt to any situation
xe2x80x93 Must have a valid driver's license and your own reliable vehicleSalary negotiable depending on experience
