Job Description


Job Summary Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to uphold Company Standards of Excellence.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality meals while adhering to portion control and stock rotation guidelines.
  • Manage the staff canteen effectively to enhance staff satisfaction.
  • Administer kitchen orders to minimize shortages and wastage, maintaining effective stock control.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen meet the highest standards.
  • Maintain and care for kitchen equipment to minimize breakages and report maintenance issues promptly.
  • Manage fridges and storage areas to uphold hygiene standards and ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Collaborate with the Chef Skills Developer for cooking classes with guests.
  • Provide shift handovers and ensure smooth transitions between shifts.
  • Assist in lodge kitchens as required, approximately twice weekly.
Skills & Experience:
  • Understanding of kitchen procedures and ability to plan effectively.
  • Passion for culinary arts and kitchen operations.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with staff and management.
  • Implementation and maintenance of health, hygiene, and safety procedures.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and firefighting equipment usage.
  • First-Aid training.
  • Ability to receive and apply constructive criticism to innovate and present modern, healthy dishes.
