Senior Chef de Partie | Cederberg | Luxurious RetreatWe are currently looking for a SENIOR CHEF DE PARTIE to join the dynamic culinary team of this tranquil retreat nestled in the heart of the Cederberg MountainsIf you're passionate about creating delicious meals and enjoy working in a stunning natural setting, we invite you to applyAs ideal candidate you will have:

  • Certificate/Diploma in culinary arts from a recognized institute/establishment
  • 3 to 5 years' experience as a Senior Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef in a high-end restaurant, hotel, lodge or resort environment
  • Remote location experience is preferred
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare dishes to the highest standards to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
  • Make sure mise-plus is always fully prepared to ensure timely and efficient service during busy periods.
  • Must be able to handle a busy pass.
  • Supervise and mentor junior chefs ensuring they follow recipes and kitchen protocol.
  • Monitor food quality, freshness and portion sizes and keeping waste to a minimum
  • Act in a way that ensures the restaurants reputation for service and excellence
  • Ensure that all kitchen staff adheres to food hygiene, health and safety standards and protocols
  • Assist in managing inventory, stock, and par levels
  • Assist in monthly stock takes
  • Assist the executive chef in placing orders
  • Collaborate actively with the executive chef in creating new dishes and menu updates
Salary Package
  • R12 000
  • Accommodation will be provided
  • Meals included
  • 3 weeks on, one week off rotation
