Job Description

Controls professional and technical processes associated with provision of Engineering service to internal/ external clients through the provision of guidance and advice on the formulation of proposals and design concepts and contract and project management of basic and average complexity type of broadly defined engineering works with moderate levels of impact in order to ensure objectives and established outcomes are accomplished in accordance with the agreed terms, specifications, costs and standards of quality.
Key Responsibility AreasProvides advice and guidance on the formulation of proposals and design concepts, contract and project management of basic and average complexity type of broadly defined engineering worksProvides advice/information and guidance on the principles, procedures and applications associated with basic or average complexity Engineering processes encapsulated in specific projects of a broadly defined natureImplementing control processes for the verification of schedules, bills of quantities, tender documents and cost estimates prepared by technical personnelPrepares special conditions aligned to procurement policies of the MunicipalityControls the implementation/outcomes associated with time, quality and cost of specific basic and average complexity engineering contractsDisseminates information on the professional and technical aspects of engineering design concepts and provides reports detailing interventions and outcomesCollecting and making available factual information and conducting the necessary investigation/ research, to enquiries to support professional personnel.

Essential RequirementsBachelor of Technology or Advanced Diploma (NQF Level 7) or equivalent in Civil EngineeringRegistration as a Professional Technologist (Pr. Technologist) with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).Valid motor vehicle driving license3 years relevant post qualification experience
