Are you a Senior Construction Project Manager seeking to advance your career to the next level?Our client is an investment company that has significantly established themselves in asset management. Additionally, they have branched into property development in Africa, breaking ground in Kenya and Eswatini. Over the years they have been developing several properties ranging from housing, hotels, schools, and retail centres, each at different phases of completion. Over and above this they have amassed a significant land bank in country and have the appetite to consider property development opportunities in other regions too.With ambitious development plans for the next couple of decades, they are looking to grow their team by employing an additional Senior Construction Project Manager, that will be responsible for representing the client side. Joining this highly efficient team, your main focus will be to ensure all phases are completed according to timelines, specifications and budget.As a site-based Project Manager, you will primarily be stationed in Eswatini or alternatively travel weekly for up to 5 day stays in-country. Responsibilities such as preparing and updating reports on subcontractors and project schedules, leading construction teams, reviewing and approving expenses and creating site-specific safety plans will fall to you. You will also be working alongside other teams, assessing bids and project costs, preparing cost estimates and project forecasts, and assisting in assembling a team of professionals.This role will require you to have proven ability in using MS Projects, excellent report writing skills, with a focus on small details and a strong numerical mindset. You will also need to have experience working on large retail developments, a construction related qualification and a minimum of 3 years of experience in client representation.
