Job Description

Senior Data and Vehicle Support Engineer (Telematics) vacancy in Cape Town. BEng or MEng (Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering) with a minimum of 5 years working experience in telematics systems and -components including data management and data dashboards. Proficient in interpreting vehicle log data to support data analysis relevant to client reports and electric vehicle architecture design.POSITION INFO:
Senior Data and Vehicle Support Engineer (Telematics)Cape TownMinimum requirements and experience:

• BEng or MEng (Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering)
• Minimum of 5 years working experience in telematics systems and -components including data management and data dashboards.
• Proficient in interpreting vehicle log data to support data analysis relevant to client reports and electric vehicle architecture design.
• Installation and management of Linux-based software for telematics hardware units.
• Knowledge of Matlab for use in data processing.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and direct the development of telematic systems for current commercial vehicle fleets.
• Evaluate and test telematic solutions by integrating hardware and software components on test vehicles.
• Configuration, setup and maintenance of telematic solutions and data dashboards.
• Data processing and providing data analysis support
• Liaise with back-end solution providers on project implementation, testing and maintenance.
