Job Description


Senior Data and Vehicle Support Engineer (Telematics) vacancy in Cape Town. BEng or MEng (Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering) with a minimum of 5 years working experience in telematics systems and -components including data management and data dashboards. Proficient in interpreting vehicle log data to support data analysis relevant to client reports and electric vehicle architecture design.Senior Data and Vehicle Support Engineer (Telematics)Cape TownMinimum requirements and experience:

  • BEng or MEng (Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering)
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in telematics systems and -components including data management and data dashboards.
  • Proficient in interpreting vehicle log data to support data analysis relevant to client reports and electric vehicle architecture design.
  • Installation and management of Linux-based software for telematics hardware units.
  • Knowledge of Matlab for use in data processing.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and direct the development of telematic systems for current commercial vehicle fleets.
  • Evaluate and test telematic solutions by integrating hardware and software components on test vehicles.
  • Configuration, setup and maintenance of telematic solutions and data dashboards.
  • Data processing and providing data analysis support
  • Liaise with back-end solution providers on project implementation, testing and maintenance.
