Eastern Cape, Port ElizabethMonthly Cost To Company (Market related)Our client in the Engineering industry is currently seeking to employ a Senior Design Engineer based in Port Elizabeth.A wonderful career opportunity awaits you!Requirements:
- BSc/BEng Mechanical/Mechatronic/Elec-Mech or higher in an engineering or science-related field with 3-years machine building experience
- 5 years' experience actively using CAD software
- Good understanding and practical ability for G&D tolerancing and engineering calculations.
- Excellent computer literacy skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Good Project management skills.
- The ability to be self-motivated, work individually and as part of a team.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Prior special purpose machine building experience.
- Familiarity with data control and issue tracking.
- Visit and talk directly with customers during the implementation and support phases of their projects.
- Design & detail equipment based upon customer requirements and within the guidelines of senior design engineers.
- Perform R&D to determine existing methodologies to solve specific problems, or to find similar methodologies and adapt accordingly.
- Perform design FMEAs.
- Source and manage suppliers for components used within your design.
- Ensure project milestones are met.
- Be part of the equipment commissioning team
