Senior Designer/art Director

Job Description
:
- Primary: art direction on shoot
- Contributing to brainstorms and workshops when necessary, doing research and finding best practise examples and references.
- Working closely with campaign creators (lead brand designer, content strategist & creative director) to understand and appropriately interpret the campaign and shoot requirements.
- Following through the concept and creative direction on shoots through effective art direction, ensuring the concept is brought to life.
- Overseeing and being very involved in the shoot planning process in order to have context for the shoot to ensure an effective outcome:
o Location selection
o Styling briefs
o Lighting briefs
o Shoot plans, etc
- Ability to work well with internal team members (designers, writers, shoot coordinators, account managers etc) in a pressurised environment.
- Good people leadership skills to ensure a cohesive and happy shoot crew (photographer, stylist, assistants, models, clients etc).
- Need to be agile and flexible to handle shoot environments and manage last minute changes calmly and decisively.
- Need a discerning and creative eye both in the shoot art direction (which requires firm and quick decision making) and in doing image selects.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar environment.
- Relevant degree or diploma qualification.
- Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Excellent knowledge and experience in e-comms and social media design
- Proficient in MS Office.
