We are seeking a candidate with hands-on experience in DevOps engineering, particularly with Azure DevOps, and the potential to aid deployment. You will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and enhancing existing DevOps systems and pipelines.The position will be responsible for integrating into multiple projects throughout the year, assessing solutions on a company-wide scale, and presenting their findings to the DevOps Manager and the Head of Infrastructure and Integrations.This role offers exposure to diverse environments and the opportunity to cover a variety of solutions, if this sound like your ideal next move, then read on!Every day you willUndertake project work, recommending and implementing solutions. Working with the project management team to help deliver projects to plan and within a suitable timelineWork as part of one or more squads, helping them successfully deliver change to existing technology, and supporting the definition of new technology, to assist business changes across our division and help improve development practices so that we can more safely deploy change into scaling environmentsAct as a point of escalation for the Infrastructure Engineers and Developers to ensure a timely resolution of incidentsIdentify improvements for consideration by DevOps Management & provide help to enable project delivery as requiredEnsuring integrity of existing environments, undertake shift to ephemeral environments as part of IaC adoptionEnsure changes to DevOps infrastructure and software are appropriately planned, documented and executed using an approved change control process, making sure that relevant people are aware, backout plans are documented/tested and post implementation reviews are completedWork in collaboration with the Information Security team, monitor and maintain solution version/patch levels and proactively suggest more secure ways of workingUtilise and implement monitoring platforms, pro-actively monitor alerts and react to alerts keeping downtime to a minimum.
