This role plays a critical role in elevating Clicks' digital creative content across all platforms. The Senior Digital Designer will lead the execution of visually stunning and innovative digital content, ensuring a high standard of design and storytelling across all projects. This role reports into the Creative Manager (Digital) and has a Mid-Weight Designer reporting into it.Job descriptionJob Purpose & Objectives:

  • Conceptualise, design, and produce high-quality video, animation, 3D content, and VFX for Clicks' digital campaigns across multiple platforms (social media, web, in-store screens, and digital advertising).
  • Lead and execute projects from pre-production, filming, post-production, animation, VFX, and final delivery.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to a Mid-Weight Digital Designer, ensuring consistency and upskilling in digital motion and video design.
  • Collaborate with marketing, content, and brand teams to bring creative briefs to life, ensuring alignment with business and brand objectives.
  • Manage the digital asset pipeline to ensure smooth workflow, version control, and optimized file delivery for various platforms.
  • Push creative boundaries by leveraging the latest trends in digital storytelling, motion graphics, 3D design, and interactive media.
  • Ensure all digital content adheres to the Clicks CI and digital brand guidelines for consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Stay ahead of digital and video content trends, keeping Clicks at the forefront of digital creativity and audience engagement.
  • Work closely with internal and external resources to ensure seamless execution of digital content.
  • Ensure all digital assets are correctly formatted and optimised for different online and social media platforms (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
Minimum requirementsKnowledge:
  • Advanced skills in video production and editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro).
  • Expertise in motion graphics & animation (After Effects, Cinema 4D, Blender, or equivalent).
  • 3D content creation & rendering (Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya, Unreal Engine).
  • Strong VFX capabilities (After Effects, Nuke, or similar).
  • Post-production expertise (Colour grading, sound design, motion tracking, rotoscoping, and compositing).
  • Experience in dynamic social video formats (Snapchat, Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, 360-degree videos).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition).
  • A deep understanding of storytelling, cinematography, and editing techniques to create compelling brand narratives.
  • Familiarity with digital advertising formats and best practices for video across social media, paid media, and in-store digital screens.
  • Strong grasp of typography, colour theory, and composition in digital motion design.

Experience:
  • 5 years experience in a digital design environment with a strong focus on video, animation, and motion graphics.
  • Experience in leading or mentoring junior/mid-weight designers in video, animation, and digital content creation.
  • Experience working with brand storytelling across different digital platforms.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing video, animation, and 3D motion design work.
Education:
  • A degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Motion Design, Animation, Multimedia, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in video editing, 3D design, or VFX software are advantageous.
