Senior Electronic or Mechatronic design engineer required. We need a person who enjoys hardware and software development/embedded design. International company involved with complete design manufacturing and reselling. Ideal applicant will become part of the R&D team to develop automation, access control and electronic devices for building automation. Hands-on development engineer doing hardware, software and testing. Opportunity to view own product manufacturing.POSITION INFO:Senior Electronic or Mechatronic Design EngineerCape TownInternational leader in the development and manufacturing of automation and access control. International they do development work of smart living systems of home automation. Design, Quality Manufacturing of Products and reselling for the local market. Reseller of imported products from various branches in SA.Electronic design engineer required to join the R&D team. Main purpose will be to design electronics hardware and firmware for new and existing products.Qualifications and experience required:

• BSc/B.Eng (Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering) or higher required
• Minimum 5 years experience as a design engineer in the electronic manufacturing industry
• Electronics design
• PCB layout
• Firmware (C, Python)
• Experience conforming to international standards
• Test design

Responsibilities:

• The purpose is to provide engineering solutions through research, design and enchancement of company products.
• Design solutions that meet company and customer requirements.
• Research new methods and technologies to improve company offering.
• Project management
• Electronic and firmware design
• Testing
