-As Senior Electrical Foreman - UG Fixed Plant you will be required to maintain and assist in the operation of electrical installations, equipment and systems according to sound engineering practice and equipment and installation specifications.


You will be responsible for:


Planning of activities in accordance with production schedules and allocation of resources as required. Effective communication to relevant stakeholder to minimize production delays. Investigate, diagnose and perform trade related maintenance and repair of electrical infrastructure, equipment and machinery according to the maintenance requirements. Provides input to and updates the overall engineering plan for maintenance and repair of electrical infrastructure, equipment and machinery to support the operations. Perform inspections in accordance with the Mine Health & Safety Act regulations, manufacturing and company standards to report all defects and breakdowns on equipment and machinery to the Line Manager. Perform electrical infrastructure and equipment over-inspection on work done by artisans and operators. Provide relevant feedback to the Supervisor and co-workers regarding electrical infrastructure and equipment performance and conditions. Carry out scheduled and non-scheduled electrical infrastructure and equipment repairs and installation. Discuss work backlog and future work requirements with Line Manager. Identify spares requirements and order accordingly Analyse and interpret maintenance related data and initiate required improvements. Ensure compliance to the business' engineering planning standards, guidelines, specifications and best practices. Co-ordinate electrical infrastructure and equipment installations and maintenance with internal and external clients and service providers to ensure the timeous allocation of resources and that due process is followed and required measures are taken to ensure execution takes place according to plan. Manage and control the allocation of funds to ensure adherence to budgetary limits. Coaching, training and development of subordinates. Contribute to a culture of zero harm by adhering to all requirements as laid down by legislation and health, safety, environmental and security policies and procedures, and by the application of specific instructions to own work area and task completion.

Qualifications

-Grade 12 certificate or relevant national NQF level qualification. Trade Certificate: Electrical or Mechanical Proficiency in SAP will be advantageous. Code B Driver's License A supervisory qualification would be advantageous

Experience & Knowledge



3 Years' experience as an Artisan in the UG Electrical Maintenance Environment. With relative maintenance experience in maintaining UG Electrical Infrastructure. Minimum of 3 years previous experience as an Electrical Supervisor / Foreman in the installation and maintenance environment of UG Electrical Infrastructure. Written and verbal communication skills. Budgeting and cost control. Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
