Position Overview:
Our client is looking for a Senior Big Data Platform Engineer to join their innovative team. This role is perfect for someone with deep expertise in building and maintaining advanced data platforms. • Design, build, and maintain scalable and high-performance big data platforms.
• Develop and optimize data processing pipelines using Apache Spark, ensuring data integrity, reliability, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions that meet business requirements and drive success.
• Implement best practices in data engineering, focusing on quality, performance, and scalability.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting continuous learning and innovation.

Technical Skills Required:

• Extensive experience in engineering big data platforms, with a strong focus on performance and scalability.
• Expertise in Apache Spark, Scala, and Java, with hands-on experience in building and optimizing large-scale data processing systems.
• Proficiency in Gradle for build automation and dependency management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data workflows.
• Experience in delivering data solutions that meet high standards of security, reliability, and performance.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Senior Big Data Engineer or in a similar role, ideally within a fast-paced and innovative environment.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a deep understanding of data engineering principles and best practices.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
