Product development expertise includes medium and heavy-duty commercial vehicles in applications such as delivery, bus, motorhome, off highway, refuse and several other specialized and vocational vehicle markets. SENIOR MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEERCenturionProduct Development. Details designs from first principles as well as improvement on existing Product rangesQualification and Key Skills Required:

• B Eng. / BSc in
• Minimum of 7 years of design experience
• Ability to plan and execute project plans
• Ability to guide and mentor other engineers
• Innovative and self-driven
• Hands-on approach to problem solving
• Readily able to adjust to changing priorities
• Objective orientated, setting goals and meeting deadlines

Responsibilities

• 3D CAD models designs and presentation to clients.
• Preparation of manufacturing and supplier part drawings
• Conduct concept and design reviews
• Manage and support the day-to-day design activities
• Provide creative and technically feasible solutions for cost savings, service issues, and product improvements.
• Interface with materials and purchasing on new part design and sourcing.
• Interface with Analysis, Test, and Manufacturing

to determine the most effective and economical use of materials and manufacturing processes. * Interface with the Product Regulation and Compliance staff to design products that meet government regulations, restrictions and codes.
