Job Description
Our client is a leading South African-based resources group with a strong focus on coal and renewable energy. They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer - Mechanical to provide expert technical support across various engineering disciplines within our projects.
This role is crucial for contributing effectively to the development and growth of our business operations.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert technical support in mechanical engineering across all project phases.
- Contribute to the successful delivery of projects from design through to installation and commissioning.
- Conduct maintenance, hazard identification, and risk assessment activities.
- Oversee procurement processes and ensure quality standards are met.
- Manage project engineering, design, erection, and installation.
- Lead contract and project management activities in heavy industry settings.
- BEng Mechanical Engineering (Essential/Minimum)
- Management Development Programme (Recommended/Desirable)
- Government Certificate of Competence: Engineering (Recommended/Desirable)
- 6-8 years of relevant experience in:
- Maintenance
- Hazard identification and risk assessment
- Procurement
- Project engineering and design
- Erection and installation
- Contract and project management in heavy industry
