Job Title: Senior Engineering Manager - Mining IndustryLocation: Mpumalanga, South AfricaRPO Recruitment's client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead all engineering activities within our mining operation in Mpumalanga. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of all engineering projects, as well as managing a team of engineers and technicians. The Senior Engineering Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and profitability of our mining operation.Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engineering strategies to support the overall goals of the mining operation
• Lead the planning and execution of all engineering projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget
• Manage a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, support, and mentorship as needed
• Collaborate with other departments to identify and address engineering challenges and opportunities
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
• Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on engineering activities and performance

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
• GCC Factories
• At least 5 years' experience as GMR2.7 appointee for a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
• 10 Years' experience as a manager
• Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams and functions
• Proven track record of leading engineering projects and teams to successful outcomes
• Strong knowledge of mining operations, equipment, and processes
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed

Benefits:

• Salary: R1 560 000 p/a to R1 700 000 p/a
