Senior Estimator/Quantity Surveyor/ Structural Engineer

Cape Town, Western Cape

R30 000 - R40 000 a month - Full-time

Seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in Structural Engineering to join the Companys growing team in Cape Town. You would need to be able to complete take offs for new construction projects and for structural steel projects (needs a understanding or some engineering background to be able to read engineering plans and decipher columns, lintels, T-bars etc)

Education:

Bachelors (Preferred)

Experience:

Estimating: 5 years (Required)

Language:

English (Required)

The successful candidate will have experience in:

xc2xb7 Construction, preferably both commercial and residential

xc2xb7 Reading and interpreting architectural and engineering plans

xc2xb7 Strong communication skills with stakeholders, supervisors, and construction managers

xc2xb7 Ability to accurately Documenting material types, prices, and variations

xc2xb7 Able to prepare reports on costings, budgets, and comparative analysis

xc2xb7 Understanding whats required to convert construction plans to achievable deliverables on site.

xc2xb7 Understanding engineering details, technical drawings, terminology and requirements

xc2xb7 Proven experience in completing Quantities and Estimating tasks

xc2xb7 Structural steel estimating ability

xc2xb7 Product knowledge of materials throughout the building industry.

xc2xb7 Labour components required in a building project.
