Key Responsibilities:

• Manage financial department employees, including setting goals and defining a framework for goals and objectives to be achieved;
• Preparation and reporting of monthly investment products accounts into statutory reporting system SAP, including reconciliation processes of cash and clearing accounts;
• Daily support to business driving exceptional servicing outcomes to investment clients, intermediaries, and discretionary fund managers;
• Management of the daily treasury function supporting the investment products;
• Management of processes that drive intermediary fees payable and platform fees payable to the administrator, including reconciliations;
• Improving and strengthening of the financial control and financial management of the investment product accounting environment;
• Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements relating to financial control, financial management and accounting;
• Work closely with internal Group-wide teams and external teams to deliver a successful outcome;
• Oversight of the accounts payable and investment products tax submission and reporting processes;
• Help to train new team members in knowledge of products, processes, and systems;
• Ensure appropriate external audit arrangements are in place and manage the audit process.

Experience:

• At least 5-7 years experience post qualification with a minimum of 4 years in a similar role within the Financial Services Industry;
• Business process definition experience, to ensure optimal business performance;
• Experience with financial business requirements e.g. general ledger, payment systems and reconciliations;
• Experience in solving complex problems for customers (internal or external);
• Experience in building successful relationships and working collaboratively across departmental teams;
• Experience at working in a fast paced, proactive and delivery focused environments;
• Experience in analysing and consolidating large data sets between different systems to derive Management Information;
• Working experience on SAP would be highly advantageous.

Qualifications:

• Qualified CA(SA) preferable;
• Relevant Accounting qualification.
