Senior Financial Accountant (ca(sa)) – Cape Town

Job Description
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) with 3+ years post-articles experience to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic property and home improvement group involved in exciting residential and commercial projects across the Western Cape, Durban, and Gauteng.
You will play a key role in financial reporting, cash flow management, tax compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making across our group of companies.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports Manage cash flow forecasting and variance analysis Oversee VAT, income tax, and other statutory submissions Liaise with external auditors and manage annual audits Support budgeting and forecasting processes Contribute to systems improvement and process optimisation Assist with project finance, funding drawdowns, and cost tracking
Minimum Requirements:
Qualified CA(SA) with 3+ years post-articles experience Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, tax, and financial reporting Proven ability to manage deadlines and deliver in high-pressure environments Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, lookups, etc.) Experience in property, real estate, or project accounting a strong advantage Familiarity with Xero and Pastel Partner.
