Education Requirements:

• Matric (Non-Negotiable) Average 65 % and higher on Maths

• Preferred Honours Degree holders / Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business studies or a related field IE: B.Com with Honours and completed articles

• Qualified as CA (SA) Non-Negotiable

• Level 3 Tax Complained: experience as tax compliance specialists

• Level 4 Financial Accounting experience: more complex accounting tasks, such as maintaining cost accounting records and the preparation of reports and returns

Professional Registration:

• SAICA (non-negotiable)

Minimum Work Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years appropriate management experience in a Manufacturing or operations environment (None Financial institutions)

• Demonstrates understanding of all facets of business operations and interactions, a sound working knowledge of financial management, numeracy, and attention to detail
• Strong understanding and application of SA income tax, VAT, and other tax legislations
• High level computer literacy (including MS Office / Excel)
• Working experience in a financial environment; knowledge of online computer applications (JDE)
• Demonstrates ability to prioritise and plan work, handle a diversity of tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines consistently, manage projects and cope under pressure
• The ideal candidate has also experience collaborating and/or managing a team of Accountants and Junior Accountants
• Demonstrates commitment to teamwork, service, integrity, and confidentiality
• Decisive and assertive with capability to build/maintain professional relationships
• Sound working knowledge of accounting practises coupled with ability to write advanced macros and produce high level spreadsheets and financial modelling
