Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fundraising Specialist to expand our support base and develop new fundraising initiatives for the NPO. The ideal candidate will be a passionate and mission-driven individual with the ability to develop and effectively deliver on a long term fund raising strategy and the ability to forge lasting relationships with donors.Key Competencies: * Fundraising Acumen:

• Proven track record of developing and executing successful fundraising strategies.
• Experience in identifying potential donors, cultivating relationships, and soliciting donations, legacy grants, and sponsorships.
• Strong understanding of the philanthropic climate in South Africa, with existing networks and connections.
• Strategic Thinking:

• Ability to understand and successfully navigate the Corporate Social Investment space in South Africa and abroad.
• Ability to create long-term fundraising plans and adapt strategies to changing circumstances.
• Skilled in setting realistic goals and developing actionable plans to meet and exceed those targets.
• Communication Skills:

• Proven written and oral communication abilities.
• Proficient in crafting grant proposals, donor correspondence, and public presentations that effectively convey the Centrexe2x80x99s mission and needs.
• Relationship Building:

• Strong interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders and build enduring partnerships.
• A personable demeanor that instills trust and fosters donor loyalty.
• Organizational Abilities:

• Detail-oriented with strong project management skills, able to manage multiple initiatives and deadlines effectively.
• Analytical Skills:

• Ability to analyze donor data to inform fundraising strategies and decisions.
• Competence in utilizing CRM and management tools to track engagements and contributions.
