A National Diploma or equivalent technical qualification within the
Geo-Information field;
A minimum of 2 to 5 years' experience in a town planning
environment;
Experience in a data quality assurance environment would be
advantageous;
Proven proficiency of Geographical Information Systems
(ArcGIS/ArcGIS Pro) and MS Office is essential;
A valid Code B driver's licence;
Knowledge of 3D applications and SAP LUM would be
advantageous.
Key Performance Areas
Perform GIS operations on a variety of applications;
Capture edit and maintain datasets in a versioned Geo-database;
Provide data analysis in order to check, validate and manipulate
data to achieve consistency and accuracy;
Prepare and produce spatial reports and maps on request;
Adhere to the operations of the branch pertaining to operational
targets, staff performance, productivity, development and training;
Provide a Technical Support Service by conducting research to
keep abreast on the latest GIS trends and technology and contribute
to the formulation for the division's performance targets.
