My client, a leading and well-known Company requires a comptent and experienced Senior Graphic Designer to join their creative team.CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB:To conceptualise, design and/or resolve Point of Purchase solutions according to the clients specifications and ensure the briefs by account executive are being met.The incumbent will ensure all design done in the Symmetry workflow environment is off the best quality and adheres to Symmetry design standards and specifications.The Senior Graphic Designer will be required to combine innovative, creative, artistic talent & POP principles together with research and have a general understanding of customer needs, marketing, materials and production methods to create appealing design solutions that will be competitive in the marketplace.REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Tertiary qualification in graphic design, art with a certificate, course, diploma or degree being preferred and/or relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in 3D / multimedia / POP is highly advantageous.
  • At least 4 to 6 years relevant experience
  • Must be experienced in the design, layout and electronic preparation for repro with the use of software (Creative Suite, 3D Applications, Microsoft Office, Keynote)
  • Must be able to add overall value to client presentations with innovative "out of the box creativity and communication solutions
  • SA Citizens only
  • Must be Criminal Clear
  • Must reside in the Greater Durban area.
DUTIESConceptualise and produce design material for all point of purchase products required and well as compiling presentations through a broad understanding of graphic design / 3D / video processes, theories, intent and rationaleTaking Briefs and RevisionsBrainstorming, Inquiring, Consulting, Researching and ReferencingConceptualisation / Ideation / Rough SketchingTranslation of ideas onto design software that is structurally sound and viable for ApplicationApplying a wide range of manufacturing processes or technologies into designConstant communication and reviewing with AEs, Creative / Art Director(s)Comprehensive filing of design files / infoAccessible to others for queries / suggestionsQuality Checks of prototypes prior to presentation or productionDuities include design, layout and electronic preparation for repro with the use of software (Creative Suite, 3D Applications, Microsoft Office, Keynote)Discuss the requirements for the design with the creative / art director(s) and make all changes if necessary.Must be able to add overall value to client presentations with innovative "out of the box creativity and communication solutions
