Job Description

Our client, one of the largest property companies in South Africa and listed on the JSE, is seeking a Senior Group Financial Accountant based in North Johannesburg. In this role, you will manage and oversee the financial reporting for a group of companies, ensuring all financial information is accurate, complete, and compliant with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. • Prepare consolidated financial statements for the group and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Prepare budgets and forecasts for the group and monitor performance against these targets
• Analyse financial data and provide insights to management to help them make informed decisions
• Responding timeously to reasonable requests from executive management
• Ensuring the Group complies and assist with the implementation of new IFRS standards and/or amendments issued that affects the group
• Liaison with the auditors
• Preparation of Management Accounts and the Net Asset Value to report to the investors

Job Experience & Skills Required:Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• BCom Accounting
• CTA
• CA(SA)

Experience:

• 3 years SAICA articles completed within a well-recognized firm
• 4 / 5 years post articles experience within a group reporting role
• Experience in SAP is advantageous
• Exposure to group consolidations and reporting is NON NEGOTIABLE!

• Strong financial acumen
• Meticulous in their work, paying close attention to details
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Analyse financial data and use it to make informed decisions
• Adapt to changes in the business environment, such as changes in accounting regulations
