This proudly South African company is a leading financial services entity, proving next-gen services to the emerging market. This company has its sights set on providing a competitive services to their clients that focuses on each individual's unique needs. The purpose of the role is to ensure group tax compliance for the group, focusing on indirect taxes, and deliver tax reporting, dealing with tax risk mitigation and implement tax strategy.Job Responsibilities Include (but not limited to:)

• Develop and implement global tax processes and policies
• Guide on tax implications of business decisions and transactions
• Support ad hoc tax planning and manage tax optimization projects
• Review service provider billing for accuracy and adherence to scope
• Collaborate with teams on tax matters to align with business goals
• Perform VAT and tax reconciliations; support monthly financial close
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations
• Manage tax audits, coordinate documentation, and resolve audit issues
• Ensure timely VAT payments, refunds, and accurate tax filings
• Engage with auditors and service providers; participate in automation and improvements
• Prepare, review, and coordinate withholding tax and VAT returns across regions
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and assist with tax registration
• Prepare and file tax returns; review tax provisions and compliance
• Supervise and mentor junior team members; provide tax training
• Stay updated on tax regulation changes and communicate complex concepts clearly

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Completed BCom Degree is essential
• Honours or Masterxe2x80x99s in taxation is preferred
• 3+ years indirect tax and VAT experience is essential
• Experience in working with a multinational company is preferred
