Our client is on the hunt for a dynamic Senior Manager: Industrial Relations to champion employee relations and navigate the complexities of labour law with finesse and strategic insight. This role is not just about managing relations; it's about shaping the future of the workforce in a cutting-edge manufacturing environment.Responsibilities:

  • Lead the charge in collective bargaining, crafting win-win agreements that resonate with both company objectives and legal frameworks.
  • Be the mastermind behind labour litigation, representing the company with unmatched expertise and ensuring legal triumphs.
  • Stay ahead of the curve with legislative compliance, turning law changes into strategic opportunities for the company.
  • Pioneer labour risk management initiatives, safeguarding the organization against potential disputes with proactive strategies.
  • Direct internal disciplinary processes with a fair and consistent hand, ensuring integrity and respect in every decision.
Requirements:
  • A robust legal qualification/LLB degree.
  • A postgraduate qualification in Employment Law or Industrial Relations is a plus.
  • Must be an admitted attorney, with a deep understanding of labour legislation and regulations.
  • At least 10 years' experience in employment law, with a minimum of 5 years in post-admission labour dispute litigation.
  • A decade's worth of experience in a high-stakes unionized manufacturing setting.
  • A proven track record in collective bargaining, with a keen eye for interpretation and implementation.
  • Leadership experience of 8+ years, guiding a team of labour specialists.
  • Proficiency in computer applications like MS Office, with exceptional dispute resolution and negotiation capabilities.
