Grade 12/Matric
Bachelors degree/diploma in Law, or equivalent.
Relevant industry certifications.
5 years of working experience in the compliance and legal field at the middle management level, preferably within the Public Service.
Experience with regulatory compliance will be an added advantage.
A valid drivers license.
Job Responsibilities
Support the chief inspector to ensure that the liquor legislation, regulations, rules, and conditions of licensed registrants are enforced by the Inspectors.
Assist with the development of and implementation of the Compliance and Enforcement Division (CED) business plan.
Conduct quality assurance on liquor license applications and inspection reports submitted for consideration to ensure compliance with applicable legislation and regulations.
Responsible for undertaking quality assurance of systems to identify missing documents or information and liaising with district offices and other stakeholders to collate required information for deadlines.
Contribute to the development of guidelines, standard operating procedures, processes, and documentation to support the division in meeting required standards for recording performance information as well as inspection reports.
Monitor divisional efficiencies to ensure that proper administrative and operational controls are in place for the divisional performance in district offices
