Job Description

The Senior Internal Auditor will assist the Chief Audit Executive in the development and execution of the audit plan and play a leading role in the daily execution of internal audit tasks.Responsibilities include:Contribute to the Internal Audit (IA) function by identifying risks associated with business objectives and evaluating the controls in place to mitigate those risks.Improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.Provide advice and support to business partners on the creation or modification of policies, procedures, processes, products or services to ensure an appropriate level of internal control and compliance is maintained.Audit planningFieldwork: Develop a risk-based testing plan, Conducts audit tests, Evaluate the adequacy of process design and the effectiveness of controlsReporting.Ad hoc IA and investigation projects.Qualifications and Experience required:BComProfessional designation in Accounting or Internal Auditing e.g. , CISA, CIA, CFE8-9 years experience in a similar roleAdvantageous: COSO risk and internal framework knowledgeExcellent communication skillsThe role will be based in the Sandton office and require travel outside of South Africa.
